Rubavu Technical College Technical Secondary School (RTC TSS) has a rich history of growth and development since its founding in 2014 as the School of Hotels Business and Tourism (ShB&T). Opening with just 30 students and 5 teachers, the school began with a focus on hospitality, aiming to meet the needs of the tourism industry in Rubavu District and beyond.

Over the years, RTC TSS has expanded both its infrastructure and programs to better serve its students and community. This growth included the addition of modern classrooms, workshops, and state-of-the-art labs to support practical, hands-on training. With the success of its hospitality program, RTC TSS broadened its offerings, introducing Automobile Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication, and Ordinary Level studies, addressing the diverse interests and talents of its students.

With each new program, the school invested in new tools, equipment, and facilities to provide students with industry-relevant training. Today, RTC TSS stands as a well-equipped institution, offering students real-world skills and preparing them for promising careers in various technical fields.
